Valdez, Worthington Glacier, Salmon, and Bridal Veil Falls

Nice camping spot at the foot of the Worthington Glacier. This along the highway to Valdez.  Many many glaciers in Alaska as there is lots of snow it seems every winter. It packs down and freezes and over and over again. Of course the global warming folks spin the gradual decline of these glaciers as human caused but tell me please, how is that possible in the last 2000 years it has been happening? Was it the Aleutian peoples, the Eskimos, or exactly who that caused the melts over many thousands of years as they claim?   More likely God caused.........

The snow on Thompson Pass on the Richardson Highway northeast of Valdez is the snowiest place in Alaska, recording 551.5 inches (1,401 cm) of snow per year on average (according to wikipedia).
Posts line the highway near Thompson Pass.
These help snow plow drivers see where the side of
the roadway ends.  It was shut for 2 1/2 weeks in 2012 due to
record snowfall.
The drivers also use GPS to plow the snow in Winter!
They cannot see during heavy snowfall.

The Trip on the Richardson Highway to and from Valdez is likely the most scenic and spectacular
that we have seen.
Very well worth the many miles.
