Indiana and to Ohio- Amish Country

Our grandson Mosey like to massage seeds, plant them, water, and weed. And wait.

The harvest will come....and it did! Tomatoes like no tomorrow.

Andrew Mosey

Quite a process to can tomato juice.

Not all of the harvest but a good start. Mosey is kind of proud I believe.

The Seamstress corner. Four machine are hidden here for amazing production.
Brides, bridesmaids and such are delighted by the creativity by Julie Christine.
The high speed commercial machine goes up to 5,500 stitches per minute

A small town in Ohio has it all.

Wonder where they are? We asked around and not one of them were to be found close by.
Oh well, we've been able to see a lot of the USA but this place has a unique distinction.

Back to Central Ohio, and the largest Amish community in the USA. It shows. Tourist traffic and more.
Wonder what they think? Amish are humans also. They dress a bit different and under the surface act just like everyone else.  At least we think so. Maybe not like politicians of today but they act like normal folks.  Smelly horses and even a few modern conveniences are engrained into the culture.
Not sure about smart phones, but cell phones are making an impact here and there -at least as they travel.
Tractors are becoming a bit more of a means of transportation. A open trailer or a small wagon will provide a platform to go to town for errands and hopping.  Can't use tractors extensively in the fields most places. Draft horse do the heavy lifting mostly.
Sundays always bring the horse and carriages plodding along. Lots of road apples to dodge .
Sunny and mild. A bit of high 80's and a few thunderstorms fill out the day. Idyllic scenes like a pony or smaller horse and two wheeled cart with young kids abound. It's all in a days activities.
