Kiger Gorge

This is a very deep gorge in the Steens Mountains ...Central Oregon. It is a Mile down from where we stood. Lots of trees at the bottom where herds of elk have been seen to hide.  The top is around 9700 feet above sea level.

We then stopped at the Frenchglen Hotel. Four young cowpokes were enjoying the BBQ, music, and community celebration held annually the first Saturday of August
