Famlly Time.....
Did we ever have a great time with our extended family on Saturday. A few shots....
The remaining sibling and spouses of the Chris and Clara Gingerich Family
Top attraction today (6/15/2019) was Applebutter cooking. Clara Gingerich's recipe has proven a very popular one ever since she concocted it probably in the early 1930's. This 20 gallon kettle is from the Kramer Family of Plain City.
All hands on deck canning the delicious contents.
Another 30 gallon copper kettle (not pictured) is from the family of Pop Gingerich's parents Jonas and Emily Gingerich. Sold at their estate sale in 1919, found again by brothers Chris, Sam, Jonas and Levi and bought back into their possession has remained in the family ever since. Wonder how many gallons has come out of this one over the years?
An example of the poverty some of our young girls are enduring
We pray for them all the time.
